lets do it on the bus

 I AM THE FLAG

I am the flag of the United States of America
My name is Old Glory
I fly a top the worlds tallest buildings
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.
I fly majestically over institutions of learning
I stand guard with power in the world
Look up and see me.

I stand for peace, honor, truth, and justice
I stand for freedom,
I am confident
I am arrogant
I am proud!

When I am flown with my fellow banners
My head is a little higher
My colors a little truer.

I bow to no one!
I am reconized all over the world,
I am worshipped-I am saluted,
I am loved-I am revered
I am respected-and I am feared

I have fought in every battle
of every war for more than
200 years,
I was flown at Valley Forge
Gettysburg, Shiloh, and Appamatox
I was there at San Juan Hill
the trenches of France
in the Argonne Forest
Anzio, Rome and the beaches of Normandy
Guam, Okinawa, Korea and
KheSan, Saigon, Vietnaum
know me, I was there.

I lead my troups, I was dirty battle worn and tired
But my soldiers cheered me and I was proud
I have been burned, torn and trampled on the
streets of countries that I helped set free.
It does not hurt for I am invincible

I have been soiled upon, burned, torn and
trampled in the streets of my country
and when it is done by those
whom I have served in battle- it hurts!
But I shall over come- for I am strong

I have slipped the bonds of Earth
and stood watch over the uncharted
frontiers of space from my vantage point the Moon.

I have borne silent witnes to all of America's finest hour
But my finest hours are yet to come.
When I am torn into strips and used for bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield
When I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldier,
or when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving parent
at the grave off their fallen son or daughter.

I AM PROUD!

Happy Flag Day My Friends.....

 D.O.D.

Department of Defense....

I got a letter today from the D.O.D. it went something like this.....

Dear Mr. Busmanterry,
It has come to our attention that a computer containing military records has come up missing. In the on going investigation we are not sure why the computer was in the home of *****. We do believe the computer was taken at random and not the target of the theft. We have been able to determane that part of your information is on that computer. In the on going investigation with the FBI and CIA we have sent you this letter about your information. We will only contact you by********** and you may contact us at *******if you have any questions or problems with this matter.

I left part of this because of the nature of the letter, so if you have been watching the national news you might have heard about the computer being stolen, and now you know or know of someone who this might affect.

I would just like to say one thing about identity theft, if you take mine please return it to me, its the only one I got. There are times I would like to lose myself and forget who I am.....I don't think there is anyone out there that would really like to be me. So help me out deposit me some money in my accounts and get rid of my bills for me. I will give you free rides on the bus!
Thanks and have a great day.

 For Misty....

I got the windows down and the radio up and here's the song that you like!
I hope you enjoy this ride on the bus

I get up in the evening, and I ain't got nothing to say
I come home in the morning, I go to bed feeling the same way
I ain't nothing but tired, man I'm just tired and bored with myself
Hey there baby, I could use just a little help

You can't start a fire, you can't start a fire without a spark
This gun is for hire even if were just dancing in the dark

Message keeps getting clearer, radios on and I'm moving round the place
I check myself in the mirror I wanna change my clothes my hair my face
Man I ain't getting nowhere just sitting in a dump like this
Theres something happening somewhere baby I just know that there is

You can't start a fire, you can't start a fire without a spark
This gun is for hire even if were just dancing in the dark

You set around getting older there's a joke here somewhere an its on me
I'll shake this wold off my shoulds come baby this laughs on me

Stay on the streets of this town and they'll be carving you up alright
They say you got to stay hungry hey baby I'm just starving tonight
I'm dying for some action I'm sick of sitting round trying to write
This book
I need a love reaction come on now baby give me just one look

You can't start a fire, you can't start a fire without a spark
This gun is for hire even if were just dancing in the dark.

Just another song by Bruce Springsteen called Dancing in the Dark.

 Boy at the Beach

LITTLE BOY AT THE NUDE BEACH

A mother and father take their 6 year old son to a nude beach.
As the boy walks along the sand, he notices that many of the women have
boobs bigger than his mother's , so he goes back to ask her why.
She tells her son, "The bigger they are, the sillier the lady is."
The boy, pleased with the answer, goes to play in the ocean but returns to tell his mother that many of the men have larger things than his dad does.
She replies, "The bigger THEY are, the dumber the man is."
Again satisfied with her answer, the boy goes back to the ocean to play.
Shortly thereafter, the boy returns again, and promptly tells his mother:
Daddy is talking to the silliest lady on the beach, and the longer he talks, the
dumber he gets."

 Why Bruce?

Fade Away and The River

I was asked to play some music on the radio,
Some more Bruce Springsteen.
The requested song is The River so I will play it.
The first one that you will read or sing is Fade Away. I like this so I played it for me while we are playing Bruce on the radio.
I like a lot of his stuff, been to one concert and sometime this week tickets go on sell here in Iowa for his up coming concert, I'm thinking about going.
A friend of mine while serving in the Army had all of Springsteens tapes.
I would set in my room listioning to him for hours. Most of the time I was cleaning my room and getting ready for some type of inspection....
I hope you like the songs and I'm going to crank it up for awhile....
Thanks for riding the bus
