warning may not be that fun...Just thought I would put that in there.

I have been in three car wrecks.....does't count hitting deer, done that twice
All three times I was the driver.....
All three cars I was driving were totaled.....
In all three wrecks I didn't even get a scratch on me.....
The other three drivers were all drunk....

I wrecked more times on my bikecycle than I have a car.....
I ran into a parked pickup with its tailgate down I ended up in the bed of the truck.
I have gone over the top of my handle bars twice, once was on a two seater bike and I was on the back seat.
Never broke a bone......
I could tell you about some other wrecks but I leave you with this thought
THEY LET ME DRIVE A SCHOOL BUS!

The Final Chapter.

I have decieded to finish the stroy, for those who need to get caught up just read my past strange love...

After I Valerie and I went out for the first time and survived all the black eyes and stuff we started doing things togeather. She went to all my home track meets to watch me run. She was in the drama club so I would go and with things like make popcorn balls for there sell. The drama instructor liked me, because when there was something going on and I was there I would work first then I would be with Valerie. One Friday night after working on the stage for the play I took Valerie home, strange how I did that a lot. So a lot of times we would go to her house and just set on the pourch swing.
I remember having Thanksgiving at her house, I already knew some of her cousins because they at one time went to the same school as we did,
When her cousin Elizabeth came in she smiled at me and shook my hand and asked "do you remeber me?" Yes, I said. Then Elizabeth says in fourth grade Terry walked me to my bus everynight, the only boy ever to do that.
Valerie said, he walks me to the bus now....
Note: I was only walking the girls to the bus so I could see the bus,,,
Christmas came we exchanged gifts, don't remember them. Then they left to go visit relatives. I couldn't wait until school started back up after break, first and only time that happened. because that's when I would see Valerie again.
Break ended and school started back up, I saw Valerie walked her to class she looked at me and said we need to talk. We got together at lunch thats when she told me....That her parents were going to talk to my mom, they thought we were seeing each other a little to much and come this summer Valerie was going to be gone most of summer vactation spending time up at the lake and they thought it would be best for Valerie if she was able to meet other people. She just wanted me to know what was going to happen.
We talked like teenagers do, we had our share of that's not fair, and things like that. We said we wouldn't break up, we could pretend to break up...
Then one night I got home my mom said she wanted to talk to me.....
All she had to say was I think you and Valerie should start to see other people. I asked my mom why I should, I didn't force the issue but I wanted her so bad to say I talked to Valeries parents.
We talked about many things but in the end we felt we should do what they wanted us to do, we both said we could get back togeather after summer break. So we thought of the break up. We thought we should break up before we got busy, I had track coming up and she had drama, the spring play.
We talked about it for awhile, then I asked her to the Valentines day dance,
She said she would go...We hadn't talked much about breaking up and the dance was about to get cancelled because of not enough chaperone's,
I told Valerie I was going to ask my mom to be a charperone, she decieded to ask her parents, When we found out that both are parents were going to be a the dance, Valerie said that would be a good night to break up, I looked at her and said I don't want to break up. She told me that she didn't want to, but her parents kept asking her if we had everytime we got together, and my mom was doing the same thing. We can break up in front of them, you can pick me before the dance and they will have to take me home. So it was set we had our plan and we knew when and how.
Knowing it was coming sucked all you do was watch the days go by then it came Valentines Day, I picked her up, we went out to eat, you think we had just met with as few words as we said. We went to the dance and we danced all the songs we normaly would do.... Then they called for the last dance,
I held out my hand and she took it we walked to the middle of the floor to dance our last dance. On the last song of the evening I took off her ring that I had on a neckless because her fingers were so small, she handed me my ring I stuck it in my pocket, I placed Valeries ring around her neck and kissed her. We both were crying, knowing it was coming didn't make it easier.
We didn't do nothing togeather after that, I started track and she got busy with drama. Summer came and went and school started back up. Terry told me she hadn't met anyone and still hadn't dated anyone. He told me I should ask her out. Well on the weekends I would be home mom would ask if I was going out or anything and I would say no. She told me more than once I should call Valerie and see whats she is doing. I never did. When I did start dating and mom would meet them later she would always say shes not as nice as Valerie. I stopped letting my mom meet anyone I was dateing.
Later that year Valerie got a boyfriend and see looked happy. We went our ways. I graduated a year later and she was a year behind me.
But before she graduated she asked my mom if I would go to her senior prom.
Mom asked me and I said yes. So I went home for her prom and my brothers graduation. I picked her up and we did the picture thing, then we were to go back to my mom's place for more pictures...we didn't go I wasn't going to let my mom get a picture. We went to prom...We talked and had a lot of fun......
as we talked we both agreed that to much time had gone by, what we had before was gone, she invited me to prom to see if it was still there,
I told her I didn't want to break up that night at the dance, she didn't either.
She asked my why didn't I try to stop it, I said you handed me my ring first and I thought this is what you wanted to do. Even though it was planned out it was the wrong thing to do and the pain was still there....

I reach out to touch you and you're not there.
I try to reach out just a littlle more, I move my hand just wanting to touch you..
you're not there. I get up and rub my eyes I can't believe that you are gone.
I look around to see if I was dreaming or you had moved. Still I don't see you.
Where did you go? Why are you doing this to me? What did I do to you?
You're gone! I want to scream, I want to yell. The hurt, the anger that I feel.
Why did you do this to me! I look high, I look low, I would even get on my knees if I knew it would do any good? Where did you go? I stand in disbelief
that you are gone, My hand brushes my thigh wait what do I feel, it's you!
You never left me you're right by myside the whole time, I reach into my pocket and take you out. YES! I FOUND YOU, THE KEYS TO THE BUS!

Right now I'm putting the bus in the shop to have it get ready.....

Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa
Register is the name of our daily papaer.
This is the 34 year for this bike ride. It last from Sunday to Saturday.
It starts tomorrow. Every year over 10,000 people ride this ride. They have a different route every year so its goes threw different towns along the way. This year it goes by where I live, I will get to see lots of buses, I hope to get some good pictures.
It starts on the west side of Iowa, that is where you take your back tire and put it in the Missouri River, then on Saturday when you are finished you place the front tire in the Mississippi River. People from all over the United States have come to ride this ride plus there have been some from other countries.
On Wednesday seven time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong will join the ride across Iowa. Do you think he can handle a couple of days in Iowa?
I have never rode my bike across Iowa but every year I want to get out my bike and ride.
