We have had a long winter in here and now a very wet spring,
making it very hard for farmers to get into there fields.
However when I got this morning it was 34 degrees and I had to scrape ice of the windshield.
For tonight they have issued frost warnings, temps are to drop below freezing once again
I think I know how this poor guy feels

"I don't like you seems" to be some mean words....
but there not as mean as saying "I hate you".
The other day while driving the bus,
There was this second grade girl who's about 7 or 8 years old
who was getting off the bus, when she stepped down on to the first step
she turned to me and said "I don't like you"!
My first thoughts were " I don't like you either"
To bad I couldn't just duct tape her mouth shut and give her a good hard shove
and knock her out of the bus. Then as I pull the bus away tell her have a nice day.
Then my second thought was.
I should tell her I am sorry,
I am sorry I made you feel that way.
Was it because I made you move to the front of the bus,
when you kept sanding up and moving around.
Is it because I won't let you throw things and hit people on the bus
or do you not like me because the bus is full and I won't let you set by yourself
Is it because I don't let the younger kids ride in the back of the bus?
I keep you in front of the back wheels where it is the safest and strongest part of the bus.
Is it you don't like me because when you have the windows down I don't let you have your hands, head or anything else sticking out the window. I make everyone put the windows up when I see someone tossing something out the window.
Are you mad at me because I don't let you scream as loud as you can on the bus, because I am trying to hear the communication radio, or anything else like a police car or fire truck?
I sure would like to know why you don't like me......
However, little girl I won't duct tape your mouth like I want to,
I won't push you out the bus, I like I should,
and I will never tell you I am sorry for getting you home in the safest possible way, to the best of my ability. For that I am not sorry.
If I caused you a little bit of unhappieness I don't care.
That is why when you said "I don't like you".
I smiled at you and said " I will see you tomorrow".
She isn't the first one to tell me she don't like me. She won't be the last one!
I am not there to be there best friend, I am there to see I get them there as safe as I can.

I coach a soccer team this spring. (more on that later).
How ever I was told this week, I have a player that don't like me.
The parents know that I like the girls to play hard, I want them to do there best.
Winning isn't everything. When I hear a girl complain about anyone or anything wrong with the team, they find out its not fun to run laps for I don't put up with it.
It is sad to see some girls playing hard then others just don't try at all. It is not fair to the ones that are working hard or in there case playing hard.
When I was told by a girl, who had to run an extra lap because she goes (player's name)
don't like you. Because I don't like to hear things like that.
After she ran her lap she came by to pick up her stuff, and I smiled at her
and said it's to bad that I only got one player not liking me....
I have 6 weeks left to get them all to say "I don't like you"


Not the first time I heard those words. ("I don't like you").
It won't be the last
So with a smile on my face, I say See you tomorrow!

Just an update, there was over 7,000 dollars worth of damage done to the buses.
This was a Senior/Prom night prank.
As students begin to turn in students and tell of what they did,
as officials get ready to file charges, as some students are getting exspelled.
I wonder who is laughing at this prank?

Officials with the Polk County Sheriff's office said Monday that at least 10 students were
involved in a vandalism incident at Southeast Polk Schools. Officials said they believed the students entered the school's bus lot around 2 am, a section of fence was down due to construction. School workers arrived early Monday to find tires flat on close to 40 buses, forcing officials to delay classes by two hours.

Transportatin director said there were 72 buses in the lot. He said the valve stems had been removed from about 90 percent of the buses. He also said stink bait and used cat litter were found inside many of the buses. Some bus keys were also missing.

Officials continue to talk to the students about what happened. Polk County Sheriff's department was called in to investigate. School officials said they don't yet have a dollar amount for the damage, but it is expected to be more than 4,000 dollars. Three trucking companies were called in to help fix the flats.
