 Sign My Book......

Today the last day of school, students went around and got people to sign there grade books. Only one person came up to me today and ask me to sign her book. The girls name is Holly, she was in 5th grade. I would run into her most of the time outside of school where ever the boy scouts were. She has two brothers and both are in scouts. For her nick name I would always call her boy scout. So she came up to me and ask me to sign her book and I said yes I would. She told me I could write anything I want. So I thought about it for a minute and wrote. Holly have a great summer, and Eat Peanuts!
Then I signed my name. She looked at me and smiled.
Her two brothers both play baseball and she would set by me at the games and help me my bag of peanuts. When the day was about over all the students had to tell who signed there book and what it said. Holly had a big smile on her face when she explained what and why I wrote what I did.
Some people remember what is written in there books, I wonder will she remember what I wrote in 25 plus years!
Do you remember what was written in your book?

 BUMP DAY FOR NORMA

This bump day is for Norma, she is a busdriver and today is our schools last day. She is retireing and today will be her last drive. She is 78 years old.
She has been driving for our school 25 years and her total years are 35.
Yes she she has been driving bus long enough that she could have driven me to school when I was younger. Everyone on the radio always called her Grandma. She did not request retirement she is being forced into it,
We will not talk about if this is wrong or right.......This is her last drive and this bump is for her. Hope you enjoy this because I know I am........

Load the kids for the last ride put those 50 boys on your bus!
Boys are you ready? Were Ready.
The boys open all windows and pull down there pants and put there bare butts in the window and moon those teachers!
As Norma gets ready to pull out she opens her window, cranks up the radio and flips the bird to all. As she pulls away you can hear this song play

When we grew up and went to school there were certian teachers who would hurt the children anyway they could by pouring their derision upon anything we did exposing every weakness however carefully hidden by the kids
But in town it was well known when they get home at night their fat and psychopathic wives would trash them within inches of their lives!

We dont need no education
we dont need no thoughts control
no dark sarcasm in the classroom
teacher leave those kids alone
Hey Teacher leave those kids alone
all in all its just another brick in the wall.
all in all you're just another brick in the wall

We dont need no education
we dont need no thoughts control
no dark sarcasm in the classroom
teachers leave those kids alone
Hey! Teacher! Leave us kids alone
all in all its just another brick in the wall
all in all you're just another brick in the wall

Wrong do it again
wrong do it again
If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding
How can you have your pudding if you don't eat your meat?
You yes you hehind the bikesheds, stand still laddie!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

As she pulls that bus into the gaurge for her last time you can hear yell
OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH WHAT A RIDE!

 My Memorial Day

There's a place I want to take you, it's just a little way out in the country.
It's right over here it's a small cemetery. Less than 100 stones.
I want to go over to that corner. From here if we look East we can see a pond and the Raccoon River. To the West the Timberline. Lots of trees it's pretty here. There are 27 seven stones that have the war flag holders with the flags. If I take enough time I could point and tell you each one or real close to it. I brought you here because I have someone I would like you to meet.

Here is Lester. I don't know if he was called Lester or if he had another name he went by. I would have called him Grandpa. He died in 1965 before I turned 1. We stayed there while he was dying of cancer. Mom said he didn't sleep well because of the pain but everynight he would get out of bed and rock me. One night he rocked me all night long put me down in the morning, and that was the day he passed away. I've been told I never cried when he rocked me. I have been told I'm just like him......after doing something strange
(Windows).

Here is a another I want you to see. This is Robert, his friends called him Bob.
I called him Dad. He has one of the flags. He died in 1977. 30yrs this Jan. He drove a semi and was gone a lot, but everytime he was home you could catch me playing in his truck. I liked being the driver but I always shared with my brother. I always wanted to drive a semi thought Dad and I would be a team. But in 77 that dream went away. I did get to take a few trips with Dad. The best one was to Denver Colorado. It was just Dad and I. I set up front the whole time and I got to miss three days of school! This is where I get my passion to drive. I drive my school bus. His partents were Claude and Molly. I have an understanding of the alcohol and why we never visited there graves.

There' s just one more I want you to me. This is Joshua, he has no nickname.
He is my son. He lived for 19 hours. He would be 11 next month. I only see him as a little baby. He was named after the Joshua in the bible.
Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of good courage
be not afraid neither be not dismayed for the Lord thy God is with thee whitersoever you go. I read him that verse and looked at the clock it was 11:23. The time of death on his death certificate reads 11:23.

Someday this may be my last bus stop. I will get to add a flag for a war.
This is one place that I am a grandson, son and dad all in one.

But for now I have more roads to travel, more bumps to hit and more passagers that need a ride. If we go out the gate and turn right go to where the road turns to the left, the old road turns to the right........................

 Memorial Day my Quest

I visited my Grandparents grave's on Satuday.
Grandpa is Charles and Grandma is Molly.
Charles died in 1969 of a heart attack
Molly died in 1970 by killing herself.
From 1969 to the time of her death Molly was well enough to take care of herself she just didn't want to be alone. She moved 6 times during that time.
She lived with us for a while. I do not remeber that. After living with us she moved into some type of home, she was able to come and go when ever she wanted. So the day she took the taxi to go shoping no one would guess that she went and bought lipstick to write her final note. I was told it says
"NO ONE LOVES ME" then she walked to the bridge and jumped. It was winter time and there was ice and everything else. I picked a peony flower that is by the head stone and drove to the bridger where she had jumped and tossed the flower into the river.
I never went to this cemetery before and I found out why....
Molly lived with us last and some of my dads family blamed my dad for her death. If she would have stayed with us she wouldn't have jumped. After her funneral my Dad would not go there because of the guilt he was feeling for his mothers death.

 POETS Day a last.

Put Off Everything Tomorrow Saturday!
I hope you all have a great day and a better weekend!
Please remember them who are no longer with us and be safe!

Have you ever came to this bus and just wonder where he's going to day?
Don't feel bad I'm the driver and lots of times I don't know where I'm going

For all those following my quest tomorrow I go visit my grandparents for the first time. All I can say is I'm looking forward to the ride!

I came across this little song to play on the radio today. This song is done to the tune of another one bits the dust by Queen.

Ridin' in a bus down the boulevard
and the place was pretty packed
couldn't find a seat so I had to stand
with perverts in the back
it was smellin' like a locker room
there was junk all over the floor
we're already packed in like sardines
but we're stoppin to pick up more
Look Out

Another one rides the bus
another one rides the bus
and another one comes on
and another one comes on
another one rides the bus
Hey
he's gonna sit by you
Another one rides the bus

There's a suitcase pokin' me in th ribs
there's an elbow in my ear
there's a smelly old bum standin' next to me
hasn't showered in a year
well, I think I'm missing a contact lens
I think my wallets gone
and I think this bus is stoppin' again
to let a couple more freaks get on
Look Out

another one rides the bus
another one rides the bus
and another one comes on
and another one comes on
another one rides the bus
Hey
he's gonna sit by you
another one rides the bus
Yeah
another one rides the bus
another one rides the bus, ow
another one rides the bus, hey, hey
another one rides the bus, hey

The window doesn't open and the fan is broke
and my face it turnin' blue
I haven't been in a crowd like this
since I went to see the Who
well I should've got off a couple of miles ago
but I couldn't get to the door
there isn't any room for me to breathe
Now we're gonna pick up more, yeah

another one rides the bus
another one rides the bus
and another one comes on
and another one comes on
another one rides the bus
Hey
he's gonna sit by you
another one rides the bus

No
No
Huh?
Yeah
Yeah Song by Weird Al

Sometime my bus may seem full but there is always room for more Thanks for riding my bus!
