lets do it on the bus
Friday April 22, 2011
I can tell by the comments and by the number of post updates, most people are done with the stream. The ones that have found other places to blog, are spending time with there new blogs of they have gone to facebook or some other networking site.
Today is Good Friday as the Easter Holiday is here so I thought today would be a good day for a good bye.
A story of a busman:
It was a few days before Easter many years ago. That a busman had finished his route for the day, checked the bus and had put it away for the night.
The busman went inside ate supper, did the dishes, washed a little tv. Feeling kind of lonely because he was living alone, decieded to go to bed early.
The busman life was the bus, the riders on the bus was all the company he would have. So every night when he went to bed the busman would thank God for the rides and the safety that was given to him.
On this one night a few days before Easter, as the busman finished his prayers and got in bed, a bright light shined from above. Then there was this voice like no other. That said busman The busman replied yes. Everynight you say your prayers to me, and giving me thanks. So this Easter I am going to come and ride your bus.
The next day the busman was happy, excited that God was going to come on Easter and ride the bus. Good Friday come and after his route the bus driver checked the bus and parked it for the night. That night once again he said his prayers.
The next day was Saturday and the busman got up early. He had the whole day and no route to drive. So the busman washed the bus, waxed the bus, Only his best would do for his rider on Easter. Then he washed each seat, cleaned under all the seats. Scrubbed every inch of the bus. Polished the dash board. Agian only the best for the rider on Easter. That night once agian before he went to bed says his prayers. Thanked God for the big day tomorrow.
The busman woke up early on Easter, got cleaned up and did a check of the bus to make sure everything was ready for the special rider. Just before Sunrise there was a knock on the door, with excitement the busman runs to the door. To his disapointment it was a lady with 4 small children. The lady smiled at the busman and said they were on there way to Easter Sunrise Service but it was far for them to go and they werent going to make it on time. At first the busman wasnt sure if he should take them. The kids might get the bus dirty and what if his special rider came while he was gone? With out a word the busman went and got the bus, pulled it around front and had the lady and kids get on the bus. The busman then drove them to the church where the sunrise service was taking place. The kids were happy and so was the lady, not having to walk that far. After dropping them off at the church the busman drove back home to wait for his rider.
The morning crept by and still no special rider. As it was getting close to noon there came another knock on the door. Once again with excitement the busman hurries to the door. There stood in the door, and old man, who hadnt shaved in along time, by the smell hadnt had a bath in awhile. The old man said I am homeless and was headed to the shelter for Easter lunch. Today they are having ham. It is getting late, and I wont make it for lunch if I walked rest of the way. With out a word the busman went and got the bus. The old man got on the bus as the busman drove to the shelter the old man feel asleep and took a nap. Once at the shelter the old man got off the bus with a big smile and said thank you.
This time after the busman got back he cleaned the bus because wanted to keep it clean for his special rider. As he was there thoughts came to his mind. What if God came while he was gone and had missed him. Surely God would have left a note, or God would know where the bus was right.
As the sun was getting ready to set, the busman was thinking about eating dinner. Just then a knock on the door, Once again the busman hurried to the door, There stood a family of four. The man of the house said sorry to bother you but our car broke down, and we are lost. We see you have a bus and was wondering if you could give us a ride to town. So the busman started the bus and got it ready. The four got on and he drove them to town. He took them to a motel so they could have a place to stay. Time the busman got back it was getting late, so the busman parked the bus and went inside. The busman went in and ate his dinner, and got ready for bed. The busman was said that God didnt come for his ride. When the busman got ready for bed, he went to pray, at first he wanted to ask God why he didnt make it for the ride, Then the busman thought about it, It was Easter and all the people going to church, and the wars that are going on, people were still dying. So the thought was God was busy, and God didnt have time for a silly bus ride. The busman eyes filled with tears as he prayed thanks for the riders and the saftey on the road, just then a light came from above. The voice came and asked the busman why are you so sad? The busman replied, I was looking forward to you riding my bus today and was wondering with everything going on in the world if you for got me. Then came a soft voice in reply, my child I didnt ride with you just once today, but I rode with you three times. When I was a family going to church you gave me a ride, when I was homeless looking for lunch you gave me a ride, when I was broke down and lost you gave me a ride. All of them are a part of me. As you can see they are all of me. Indeed busman it was a fine ride, Busman you have many more roads to travel, many more riders that need a ride. Your travels have just started, and remember I am with you always.... Happy Easter.
I got the bus all nice and clean, fueled and ready to go. I think I am just going to take the bus for one last ride. I am going to head down the long road, and ride off into the sunset. With as much fuel as this bus holds I will be driving all night and into tomorrow... I want to thank all of you that came for a ride on the bus, and for allowing the bus to stop at your blog. Of course cant forget to thank blog stream, If it wasnt for the stream there wouldnt have been a bus. So this is my Good Bye on Good Friday. LIke the saying says "all good things most come to an end"

I wonder if I just got stupid or crazy or maybe a little of both. I have just signed up to run what they call the blue mile on Tuesday April 26th. There are several different races that date for the mile. I am in the fun for everyone group. Never figured out why the call runs fun runs. When in the service we did these "fun runs", just to find out that they werent that fun. In this group they want you to run, jog, or walk a mile in under 18 minutes. I am not worried about the 18 minutes. Up until 5 years ago when I retired from the reserves I was able to do 2 miles in 16 minutes or under. So that time isnt a problem. I did my last run 5 almost 6 years ago. I passed the test, I retired, and I haven't ran since. So I wonder do I run this with the thought I am going to run the whole way? Is just finishing good enough? Do I take the time and train and set a goal for a 7 or 6 minute mile? I have been wanting to get back into spade, is this the place to start. There is a 5k run this Aug. They have it every year I thought about wanting to run in it. Is this my chance to train for my mile and then build up to the 5k in Aug.? The name: The Blue Mile It kicks off the Drake Relays. If you like track and field then you would know its a major sporting event. It is one of the biggest track meets in the nation for college. They also have high school events and track meet. It is so big that it lasts a whole week time they get all the events done. One neat thing you can go to one of the malls and watch them do the pole vault. The school colors for the Drake Bulldogs is Blue and White. The School I drive for is also the bulldogs and they are Blue and White. This even the blue mile is from the insurance company. Wellmark known as blue cross/blue shield of Iowa. You have all this blue and its a mile run so why not call it the blue mile. But where they get the real name from is from runners like me who fail to breath while running and time we finish we are blue in the face.

I have been doing a lot of wrestling trips this year. Three Sat. in a row setting in gyms, lets just say there has been many hours put in watching wrestling. Here is one of the neatest things I seen on the back of a shirt. I may not get it completely right but it will be close.
I am last years state champion, My goal is: I will win it again. I will fight every minute, every second, every moment of every match. I will not quit! But if you think I am tough, you should see my mom*
* at the end was a ribbon for breast cancer with his moms name printed in it*
I watched him wrestle three matches that Sat. His longest match was about one minute 12 seconds. All three he won by pin fall. After every match, he would walk over to his mom and give her a hug.

I been doing a lot of weekend trips for wrestling. If anything I have gotten a better understanding for the sport. Growing up I could never understand why a guy would want to roll aroung on a mat with a another guy. At one meet on a Saturday, we packed the gym with 14 teams. The gym was small, seating area tight, waiting for the start of a long day. They called all wrestlers off the mat and had everyone stand and remove any head gear for the siging of the national anthum. Today one of the cheerleaders from the home school was going to sing the national anthum. I think singing that would be hard, the notes are high and everyone expects you to sing it great. However I must say I have heard the words over a thousand times. Even wrote a term paper on the song. Even know the second verse. (Yes) there are two verses to the song. However when the cheerleader took the mic to sing, all the cheerleaders from all schools got up to stand be hind the singer. I thought it was odd that all the cheerleaders would do this, As the music began to play, She started to sing the words, as she was singing two soliders came walking into the gym. Of course with the movement the singer couldnt help but look to see what was going on. Just at that moment as she was singing the rockets red glare the Oh My God, with a scream of excitement. She couldnt control herself she ran across the gym to the two soliders coming in.... Her brother and best friend (boy friend as well) just came home from Iraq. The two had both been wrestlers for the school and came home for the once a year wrestling meet, that there school holds. The other cheerleaders finished singing as a group and no other words were changed. There were a lot of tears of joy flowing at the wrestling meet. And all I can say is Oh What a Ride!

I am setting in an motel room on a Friday night. There is a knock on the door it is 7:00 pm. She was to be there right at 7. Just like we had planned. I open the door and there she stood, dressed the way that I had asked her to be dressed. So far I am very happy and very pleased. We say hi, then I say please be quit, then I ask do you know the safety word, she replies using the word that we had discussed. I shake my head, when the safty word is spoken everything stops. I tell her she must leave....
I wonder if she meant to say the safety word or was it by mistake. I set in the room wondering. About 15 minutes pass and there is a soft knock on the door, Open the door and to my delight it is her. Standing there just like before. I ask her to come in and she does with out speaking a word. I clost the door behind her. I ask her agian do you know the saftey word. This time she shakes her head yes. I ask her does she know what it means when the safety word is spoken, again she nods her head yes.
I hold out my hand and she takes it. We walk over by the bed where the light is on. She stands in the light, I reach out and touch her hair, her face, run my hand down the side of her face, I touch her ears, the back of her neck, I place my hands around her neck, she tembles just a little, but she excepts my touch. I give her neck a soft squeeze to see what her reaction my be. Again she shakes just a little but she seems to like the touch.
I take my hands and hold out her arms, I run my hands down her arms. First her right arm then her left arm. I run my hands down both of her sides. Stopping at her waste. Thats when I look into her eyes for the first time. I take my hands and put them softly on her face, again she execpts the touch, I touch her lips with my fingers, I open her mouth with my fingers and touch her teeth, I feel the inside of her mouth, I look into her mouth. I get her to open her mouth a little wider, then surprising the her I take my finger deep into her throat, she has her gag reaction, I was surprised that she didnt bite my finger.
I ask if she is ok and she smiles and nods her head yes. I then stand in front of her, slowly running my fingers down the buttons of her shirt. Just like I had asked her to wear. Then slowly I undo each on of her buttons starting from the top. Until her shirt is unbuttoned. I hold her shirt open and take a nice long look, then I slide the shirt of her body, There she stands in her bra, the color just like I asked. I put my hands on her shoulders and touch her. I start to run my hands on her body, again she execpts my touch.
After feeling her body with my hands I reach around back and un hook her bra, the I slowly pull it away from her body letting it fall to the floor. Again I keep touch her body, check her body.
I have her turn around and I run my hands over her back and her bottom, She still has her pants on. I turn her around again and face her. I set down on the edge of the bed. I tell her to remove her pants. She slips off her shoes and undoes her pants, she slowly pulls them down, then stepping out, revealing her matching pants to her bra, I have her do spread her legs, and bend over, stand back up and turn around and bend back over. While her butt is facing me I tell her to take off her underwear, and she does. I check her out some more,
I tell her she has passed and will do just fine, I have her pick up her clothes, goes into the bathroom and gets dressed.....
